How We Operate

Two ideas are at the core of the Latter-day Saint Charities response:

  1. 100% of every dollar donated is used to help those in need—without regard to race, religion, or ethnic origin.
  2. Latter-day Saint Charities helps people attain self-sufficiency so they can be self-reliant long after Latter-day Saint Charities departs.


In 2018 Latter-day Saint Charities worked in 141 countries and territories on 2,885 projects with over 1,900 partners to serve millions of people. Since 1985, over $2.2 billion in assistance has been provided.
